International traveling with medical conditions can be a stressful and confusing endeavor. The amount of documents needed to get through customs, the language barriers between different countries, and the tedious work to make sure medications are legal in those countries makes planning to travel internationally a chore.

We created an app aimed towards creating a personalized medical itinerary that offers document organization, rules and regulations on medications, and mapped out emergency services.
The main focus was keeping the amount of information being collected at once to a minimum as to not overwhelm the user.
CREATE ACCOUNT
A pain point we found in modern itinerary apps is the sheer amount of information on each page. With this design the itinerary is split up by trip to reduce the clutter of dates and things to do.
ITINERARY
Organization, functionality, and ease of use were the factors in the decision of this design.
DOCUMENTS
Similar to Google Maps, the map portion of TRAVELDOC allows the user to save locations of doctors, pharmacies, and hospitals near where they are traveling.
MAPS
TRAVELDOC organizes and displays the rules and regulations for each country the user is traveling to.
RULES AND REGS
The profile holds all the user’s personal information separated by type. TRAVELDOC is also equipped with an SOS button that alerts local emergency services.

I was passionate about this project from day one. Starting off with a problem that I’ve personally dealt with was exciting but it also taught me to distance myself from the personal feelings I had about this idea. I had to make sure I was catering to ALL of our users, not just me, and that’s something I learned to balance with the help of my group mates.

With more time and resources my group and I wanted to see this app through. A bigger social media campaign, broadening our research, and smoothing out animations in the app are a few things we want to explore further.
